About School

St. John's Higher Secondary School in Sithanangoor began its journey on June 3, 1991, under the visionary guidance of Sun. John Peter. Originally established as a High School, it was later upgraded to a High School on June 1, 1996. The school holds historical significance as it played a crucial role in providing high school education to girls from marginalized communities in the Sithanangoorarea. Arulpani initiated this noble endeavour, with the dedicated support of John Peter and his wife, Mrs. Francisca Sachamari, M.A., B.Ed.

Noteworthy Achievements:
Hostel facilities were initiated on June 3, 1991, for male students, and on June 1, 2010, for female students, demonstrating a commitment to the welfare of economically disadvantaged students.
Embracing the motto, 'Your Education is Your Life,' our school symbolizes the interconnected concepts of Earth, Cross, and Book.

Symbolism of Our School Logo:
Earth: Represents the nurturing source of all life. It symbolizes our commitment to preventing pollution and unethical activities, preserving the sacredness of life.
Cross: An emblem of service and sacrifice. As our school has grown, this symbol reflects rare service, sacrificial activities, and the divine presence guiding us.
Book: Signifying the privilege of education for a select few. It challenges the notion that certain individuals should be denied education, advocating for universal access to learning.
